Senior Year

As a senior this year, I'm filled with a lot of apprehension as to my last year in high school. I've been thinking about the past a lot and trying to pin point just when it all changed. It took the help of an old family friend to put everything in perspective for me. Our conversation made me feel relieved and more confident in the path I've chosen. They reminded me of my drive and dedication to my goals.
So as for the coming year, I'm no longer afraid of you. I'm going to embrace you with open arms and whatever you choose to throw at me I'm going to catch it with stride. You only get to be a senior once, and this year is my year.
